PARSONS, ALEXANDRA (SANDY) RAYE (Mendenhall)

Of Leesburg, VA, passed away peacefully at Inova Fair Oaks Hospital on July 9, 2021, age 86, after a long illness. Beloved wife of Albert (Al) Parsons of Leesburg, VA, loving mother of John (Jan-Marie) Hopkins, III of Sterling, VA, Jill Minard of Virginia Beach, VA, Mark (Sonya) Hopkins of The Plains, VA and dear step-mother of Derrick (Susie) Parsons of Canada; much loved grandmother of Shane (Chris) Howard, Benjamin (Faith), Matthew, Nikolai, Ellecia, Auna Hopkins and adored great-grandmother of John Howard. She will be greatly missed by her family, nieces Stacie (Dean) Evans, Jamie (Daron) Walker, Terri (Mike) Giles, and her many friends. She was formerly married to the late John A. Hopkins, Jr and is preceded in death by her loving sister Estelle Stratford Mallicoat and cherished granddaughter, Josephine Hopkins.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a private venue. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to your favorite charity or local food pantry.
