Alicia Jean Glueckert was born to Joseph and Alicia Harrington on December 27, 1955. She grew up with her older brother Thomas and younger sister Addis on Woody Lane in Northport, Long Island. She met her husband Richard Glueckert in 1980 while working at Fairchild Republic and was married in May of 1982. They were blessed with three children Eric, Alicia, and Rachel. In 1989 Alicia and her family moved to Ashburn, Va. She stayed at home raising her three children until they were in middle school when she started working at Cedar Lane Elementary School as a kindergarten assistant. During her time here on earth Alicia fought ovarian, brain, and bone cancer and through it all never shed one tear or let any of her loved ones hear a word of complaint. Throughout all of the operations, chemotherapy, and radiation treatments she had she was still able to make everyone around her laugh. Her loving, caring, humorous, and strong spirit will truly be missed by all those that loved and knew her.

A time of visitation will be held at Colonial Funeral Home, 201 Edwards Ferry Rd NE, Leesburg, VA 20176 on Thursday, January 21, 2010 from 2:00 and 4:00 p.m. and again from 6:00 and 8:00 p.m. with prayers starting at 7:30 p.m.
