Allan Reed Foltz, 92, of Ashburn, Virginia passed away peacefully on October 1, 2024, with family by his side.

Al was born in Ririe, Idaho to parents Clarence and Mae Foltz. He was a devoted husband to his wife, Jane Emerson Foltz (deceased), and a loving father to their 3 daughters, Cheryl Lewis (Tom Zedan), Janet (Philip) Reeves, and Patricia (Keith) Douglas.

His love for family was evident in everything he did. Al enjoyed spending time with his 7 grandchildren, Ryan (Katherine) Lewis, Daniel (Ashley) Lewis, Beth (Kyle) Lowry, Aaron Reeves, Jennifer Reeves, Emily Douglas, and Paige Douglas, as well as his 2 great grandchildren, Caroline Lewis and Madelyn Lewis.

A University of Oregon Business graduate, Al pursued careers in the Forestry Department, Air Force, and Department of Defense. He worked in various locations including Idaho, Texas, California, New York, and eventually the District of Columbia metropolitan area/Northern Virginia.

His hobbies included fishing, playing cards, woodworking, and gardening. He loved to travel, and his happiest life's moments were vacations with his wife and all the children to the Outer Banks, Alaska, Disney World, western United States, New York, and the Caribbean islands.

He will be forever remembered for his generous heart, his wisdom, his kind demeanor, and his gentle humor.

A private burial and celebration of life will be held by the family.
