Allan William Hardy passed away suddenly on March 24, 2012 at INOVA Fairfax Hospital in Falls Church, VA. Allan was born October 15th, 1956 in Portsmouth, NH to Richard Hardy and Eileen Hardy-Metcalf. He is survived by his beloved wife of 34 years, Gail L'Italien-Hardy. He is the devoted and loving father of Justin Hardy of Boston, MA and Jordyn Hardy of Leesburg, VA. Other survivors include his step-father Ronald Metcalf and mother Eileen Metcalf of Kittery, ME, father Richard Hardy and stepmom Hideko Hardy of La Jolla, CA; sisters Kathi Hardy and husband Gerald Simpkins, Tracey Hardy and partner Lynn Culpepper of Boynton Beach, FL; brother Eric and wife Keri Hardy and many nieces and nephews. Allan was predeceased by his grandparents Delbert and Pauline Hardy of Kittery, ME and William and Geraldine Dolan of Sanford, ME. Allan served 8 years in the U.S. Navy. He attended Universities in N.H. and VA. He went on to have a successful career in Info Technology; serving as V.P. at Wang Labs and Eastman Kodak to name a few. He had been working at Lockheed Martin for the past 6 years as a legal analyst. In heartache he leaves us, greatly missed, and always loved. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 7, 2012 starting at 2:00 p.m. in the Colonial Funeral Home, 201 Edwards Ferry Rd NE, Leesburg, VA 20176.
