Allyn Campbell Cornell passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones in Leesburg, Virginia on July 5th, 2025, at the age of 78.

A debutante from Hinsdale Illinois, Allyn was a feisty red-headed Leo who loved to have fun and warm the hearts of those around her – even complete strangers. Her heart overflowed with generosity, and she was a mother figure and confidant to many.

She was a proud mother and grandmother. She loved her cats, her birthday, making people feel special, shopping, throwing parties, volunteering, and laughing loudly. She had a wonderful sense of humor and always knew what to say to give strength and love to others.

Allyn left an indelible imprint on many lives and will be greatly missed by generations of family and friends. She is probably doing the twist in heaven and maybe even breaking a couple of rules with a big smile on her face. She said that she had a really great life, and she was truly grateful to have had so many wonderful people in her life to celebrate along the way with her.
