Ana Luz Flores
April 27, 1922 – February 13, 2019
Ana Luz Flores, 96, of Purcellville, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at the Reston Hospital Center.
Ana was born in Chile on April 27, 1922 to Alejo Arancibia and Ana Diaz; she was one of 12 siblings. She was a preschool teacher and loved working with children. Ana and her husband of 65 years, Rodolfo S. Flores, were married on April 25, 1953. Ana immigrated to the United States in 1961 with her husband and two children.
Ana was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She had a beautiful talent for knitting, and just like many of her handmade things, she was a warm blanket of sweetness, comfort, and security. As she ever remains sweetly adored, her spirit in heavenly presence will always be with those she loved.
Ana is survived by her husband, Rodolfo; two children, Rudy (Tara) Flores and Bernardita (Dan) McCormick; three grandchildren, Kelley Flores, Lauren McCormick, and Corey (Kara) Flores; and many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Ana's life at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at St. Bridget of Ireland Catholic Church, 1024 West Main Street, Berryville, VA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
