Anita Michelle Borak (1945-2013)
Anita Borak (née Vanderschaaf) was born in Elizabeth, NJ and raised in West Windsor, NJ where she graduated with honors from Princeton High School. After graduating from the University of North Carolina – Greensboro with a degree in Business Administration, she worked as a Regional Manager for the State of New Jersey, Department of Human Services, educating and caring for the physically and mentally disabled. During this time, she completed her masters degree in Education at Trenton State College (now The College of New Jersey). She was also a licensed real estate agent in NJ and had a passion for property development and a keen eye for investing. A member of various competitive tennis clubs, Anita was an avid tennis player who also enjoyed skiing and swimming. She cherished music, particularly the symphony, big band music, and the choral tradition of the Episcopal Church.
She is survived by her husband, John Borak of Leesburg, VA, and two grateful sons, Brian and Mark.
Family will receive friends on Friday, November 15, 2013 between 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. at the Colonial Funeral Home, 201 Edwards Ferry Road NE, Leesburg, Virginia 20176. Anita will be remembered in a service to be held on Saturday, November 16, 2013 starting at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial to follow in Union Cemetery, Leesburg, Virginia
