Obituary

Anita Louise Holtz
August 19,1942-August 1, 2017

Anita Holtz of Leesburg, VA passed away August 1. Born in Rivesville, WV to Helen and Martin Bartic who both preceded her in death. She is survived by her brother, Martin (Sonny), her husband of 49 years, Donald and their children: Martin and Stacey, husband Jacob. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Olivia, Austin, and Emmet.

Anita began life as a coal miner's daughter. She was as tough and strong as she was kind and fair.  The best parts of her were her compassion for others and her absolute lack of pretense.  She was who she was, and she loved others.

Anita was, most of all, a joyful person. She spread happiness and left smiles and laughter wherever she went. Anita loved meeting and talking to people and collected many friends throughout her life.  She was an amazing wife, mother, and, most importantly to her, grandmother.

Donations can be made to Special Love, 117 Youth Development Court, Winchester, VA 22602, an organization that helps families fighting pediatric cancer.

Visitation will be Friday, August 4, 2017 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. The funeral service will be Saturday, August 5, 2017 at 11:00am, both at Colonial Funeral Home of Leesburg, 201 Edwards Ferry Rd, NE, Leesburg, VA 20176.
