Ann S. Hernandez, 72, died unexpectedly November 22, 2019.

She was born March 8, 1947, in Norfolk Beach to Latha and Miriam Semones.  Her father was a WW2 Army Veteran, cabinet maker, mechanical civil servant at Norfolk Naval Operations Base and worked at Kempsville Presbyterian Church.  Her mother was a dietician for the City of Virginia Beach Schools.

Ann graduated from Princess Anne High School in 1966 and moved to Northern Virginia in 1987 where she spent the remainder of her life.

Her interests included golf, dancing, country music and cheering for the Dallas Cowboys. Her main interest was spending as much time as possible with her family, especially her grandchildren, Kensington and Devin.

Ann is survived by her son, Jeffrey, his fiance April Sawin, and grandchildren Kensington, Devin and Bryce; brother Howard Semones, his wife Cheryl; brother David Semones, his wife Patricia; brother, Charles Semones, his wife Kimberly; 11 nieces and nephews and 14 great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Latha and Miriam Semones, sister, Wanda Shaw Miles and nephew Howard Semones.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 11, 2020 at Colonial Funeral Home in Leesburg, VA at 10:00am.
