Ann Marie (Dowd) Williams, 89, of Ashburn, VA passed away on Friday, July 21st, 2017. Ann Marie was born on August 13, 1927 in Queens, NY, to Clarence James and Catherine (Conlon) Dowd. Ann Marie was a kind and generous person to everyone around her. She was involved in the Cascades Senior Citizen Center and their Friday morning Knit and Crochet Group.

Ann Marie "Nan" Williams is remembered by her family and friends for being very proud of her New York Irish Catholic roots. There was nothing she loved more than spending time with those she loved, and an occasional glass of Dewar's. Nan's killer sense of humor always kept those around her on their toes and full of laughter and smiles. Her presence in the room was always felt and will be sorely missed.

Ann Marie is survived by her daughters Catherine Crawford of Ashburn VA, Deborah Dunbar of Ashburn VA; grandchildren, Heather, Debra, Andrea, Shannon, Ryan, Erin, Rebekah, and Daniel. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and ten great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Raymond Williams; three brothers, James, Raymond and William; and her son, Charles Cooper.

A service is planned for 11:00 am on Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at Colonial Funeral Home, 201 Edwards Ferry Road NE, Leesburg, VA 20176.  Burial to follow in Union Cemetery, Leesburg, Virginia.
