Anna V. Cole 88 passed away peacefully Sunday May 22, 2011 at Canterbury Nursing Home Shepherdstown, W.V. Mrs.Cole
was formally from Leesburg, Va. She was the daughter of the late Edger B. Stocks and the late Virgie M. Frye Stocks. Anna was a waitress at Leesburg Restaurant for over 40 years. Mrs. Cole is survived by her daughter, Doris A.Cole-Payne, of
Ranson, W.V. 3 grandsons Kevin W. Cole (Tonya) of Bristow, Va. Marvin Martz,Jr.of Blacksburg, Va. and Christopher Martz (Kim) of Bluemont, Va.3 granddaughters, Karen Cole (Timmy), Tammy Tarmon (Freddie),and Lorrie Ruffner (Jimbo), all of Ranson, W.V. She is also survived by 12 great grandchildren, 2 great- great grandchildren and a special sister in law Hilda Hutchison of Middletown, Md. Mrs. Cole was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Flavious "Bud" Cole, 2 sons Marvin Martz, Sr., William "Billy" Cole and a son in law Archie F. Payne, Jr.
The family would like to say a special thanks to the Canterbury Nursing Home Staff and The Hospice of the Panhandle.
Visitation will be Tuesday, May 24, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8;00 p.m. Funeral will be Wednesday, May 25 at 1:00, at Colonial Funeral Home, 201 Edwards Ferry Road NE, Leesburg, VA 20176. Burial will follow at Furnace Mountain Cemetery, Lucketts, VA.
