Anna Mildred Hough of Leesburg, VA passed away August 2, 2016, at the Heritage Hall Leesburg Nursing Facility. She was 91.

Anna is predeceased by eight brothers and one sister. She is survived by her husband, Harry P. Hough (Heritage Hall); daughter, Peggy A. Falzone and her husband, Michael, of Ashburn; granddaughter Joanna Summey and her husband, Robert, of Ranson, West VA.; and two great-grandchildren, Micah Paul (5) and Kaleigh Lynn (2), whom she adored. She also has five surviving siblings: David Hancock of Columbus, GA; Stanley Hancock and Garland Hancock of Tazewell, VA; Jerry Hancock of North Tazewell, VA; and Elizabeth Collins of Wytheville, VA. Other survivors include many nieces and nephews whom she loved and who dearly loved her.

Anna was born on June 18, 1925, in Bluefield, West VA, to Wilbur and Carrie (McMeans) Hancock. She spent her childhood in Wytheville, VA, moving to Leesburg in 1945. Anna and Harry met and married in 1946 and had just celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary on July 24, 2016.

Anna was totally devoted to her family all her life. As the oldest child, Anna was a matriarch to her fourteen siblings. She was respected and admired by family and friends.

Family and friends are invited to gather an hour before the time of service. Services are scheduled for 1:00 pm on Monday, August 8, 2016 at Colonial Funeral Home of Leesburg, 201 Edwards Ferry Road NE, Leesburg, Virginia 20176. Rev. Jim Wishmyer of the Leesburg United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will be at Union Cemetery, Leesburg.

A Reception will follow the service at the Leesburg United Methodist Church, 107 W Market St, Leesburg, VA 20176.
