Anna M. Shade, a long time resident of Reston, Virginia passed away while residing at Monroe House. Mrs. Shade was 99 years old. A daughter of the late Robert and Lizzy (Cocrell) Morgan, she was born in 1912 in Halltown, West Virginia. Employed by NASA, she held the position of Info Specialist. Mrs. Shade attended St. Anne's Episcopal Church.
She leaves behind to share the memories her daughter Belinda Jones, 2 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and her brother William Morgan of Winchester, Virginia. Along with her parents she was predeceased by her husband, Leonard A. Shade.
Family and friends are invited to a time of visitation at Colonial Funeral Home, 201 Edwards Ferry Rd. NE, Leesburg, Virginia 20176 on Wednesday, February 8, 2012 between 10:00 and 11:00 a.m. with the service following at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be held on Wednesday, February 8, 2012 at the Rosedale Cemetery, 917 Cemetery Rd., Martinsburg, West Virginia 25404.
