Anthony Joseph Buonantuono, 89, of Ashburn, Virginia passed away on January 13, 2022.  He was born in New York City, New York on August 27, 1932 to Andrew Buonantuono and Antoinette (Lanzalonga) Buonantuono.  He served in the United States Army and upon his return had a twenty-year career with the New York City Fire Department before retiring.

His loving wife, Adele, passed away on March 13, 2022, after more than 36 years of marriage.

He leaves behind his son, Anthony Gerard Buonantuono, his wife Peggy Lee and grandchildren, Jennifer and Vincent. All from Holbrook, New York.

His stepdaughter, Kim Wilder, predeceased him and she leaves behind her husband, Ronald Rammelkamp, of Staunton, Virginia and granddaughter, Paige Rammelkamp, of Washington, DC.

He also leaves behind his stepdaughter, Dana Wilder, her husband, John Barry de Nicola and grandchildren, Evan and Kyle, all from Ashburn, Virginia.

Anthony is mourned by his brother, Andrew Buonantuono, his wife, Leticia from Ridge, New York and niece, Adriana Threlkeld from Germantown, Maryland and nephew, James Anthony Buonantuono from New York City, New York.

Family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 29, 2022 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Colonial Funeral Home of Leesburg, 201 Edwards Ferry Rd.,NE, Leesburg, VA  20176 where a service will begin at 11:00 am.  Interment will immediately follow at Union Cemetery, Leesburg, VA.
