Arbutus Spring, 85, of Lucketts, VA died September 11th at Loudoun Hospital.
Mrs. Spring was born November 23rd, 1922, in Lucketts to the late Ode and Virgie Frye.
She was a devoted housewife and loving mother. She enjoyed working outside and tending to her flowers and her yard. And she also enjoyed her family, especially her grandchildren.
Mrs. Spring was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph T. Spring, Sr. and a daugher, Rosie Lee Roles, Winchester, VA.
Survivors include one daughter, Patty Benfield, of Brunswick, MD; one son, Ralph T. Spring, Jr., of Brunswick, MD; two brothers, Jimmy Frye and Kenny Frye; five sisters, Marie Lawson, Goldie Bates, Violet Cooper, Francis Austin and Helen Funk; nine grandchildren, many great-grandchildren; and a special dear friend, Abe Kesner of Lucketts.
A visitation will be held at Colonial Funeral Home on Monday, September 15, 2008 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. A service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, September 16, 2008 at 11:00 am with burial to follow at Union Cemetery.
