Ariel Alexander Ramirez (AJ) of Potomac Falls, Virginia passed away on January 24, 2020 at the age of 31. AJ was the loving father of Ellie Patricia Ramirez; son of Ariel Ramirez and Doris Ramirez of Puerto Rico; and brother of Andrea, Dmitriy, Alexia, Victoria and Samuel. He is survived by them and by step-mother Yelena Korotkova-Ramirez, grandparents Jose Ramirez, Andrea Davila Ramirez, and Jose Vidal, and by Ellie's mother Alissa Larscheid, and many uncles and aunts. He is preceded by grandmother Patricia Rodriguez.

AJ was born June 4, 1988 in Bayamon, Puerto Rico, and grew up in Tampa, Florida and Potomac Falls, Virginia. He graduated from Dominion High School in Sterling, Virginia and attended Blue Ridge Community College in Weyers Cave, Virginia, where he studied biology. AJ was very athletic, having played football and lacrosse in high school as well as ice hockey with a private team. He had a passion for music and played the guitar, violin, flute and piano. AJ worked in culinary arts which he had a passion for and especially enjoyed cooking for those around him. He will be deeply and forever greatly missed.

Family will receive friends on Thursday, February 6, 2020 from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm at Colonial Funeral Home of Leesburg, 201 Edwards Ferry Rd., NE., Leesburg, VA  20176 where a Life Celebration Service will begin at 1:00 pm.
