Loving wife, mother and grandmother, Arlene M. Giampietro, of Sterling, Virginia, passed away on Sunday, June 7, 2009 at the age of 70. Mrs. Giampietro was born in New Jersey on June 20, 1938 to William Carey and Catherine Paradise Carey. She was married to loving husband Nicholas P. Giampietro. Mrs. Giampietro worked as a contractor for the U.S. Navy.

She will be sadly missed. But she leaves behind to treasure the memories her husband, Nicholas P. Giampietro of Sterling, Virginia; children, Nicholas P. Giampietro, Jr. of Hanover, Pennsylvania, Lisa Ann Allison of Sterling, Virginia, Michael Lee Giampietro of Manassas, Virginia, Charles William Giampietro of Las Vegas, Nevada, Joseph Anthony Giampietro of Sterling, Virginia, Angela Duplis of Orlando, Florida; 11 grandchildren; and brother William Carey of Florida. She was predeceased by her parents.

Family and friends are invited to the Colonial Funeral Home, 201 Edwards Ferry Rd. NE, Leesburg, Virginia 20176 for prayers and to share the memories of Arlene on Thursday, June 11, 2009 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, June 12, 2009 starting at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church, 46639 Algonkian Parkway, Sterling, Virginia 20164.

A Mass will be held on August 18, 2009 at Ft. Myer Chapel, Arlington, VA starting at 12:45 p.m. Burial will be follow in Arlington National Cemetery.
