Barbara Blondin 79, of Leesburg, VA passed peacefully unto the Lord Jesus Christ on June 24, 2011.
Barbara loved many things, but most of all her family. She leaves with loving memories; her husband of 56 years, C.J. Blondin; her children, Jacqueline Smith (husband Bryan), Christopher Blondin (wife Darlene), Elizabeth Mihalkovitz (husband Tom), Barbara Ann (deceased), David Blondin (wife Emily) and Jennifer King (husband Mike); her grandchildren, Stephen, Kenneth, Barbara, Allison, Christopher, Craig, Brittni, Ryan, Olivia, Parker, Madigan, Raegan, and Emmerson. She is also survived by 8 great grandchildren.
Barbara was the beloved sister of Raymond Barker (deceased), Joyce Barker, Robert Barker and Patricia Buchmann.
She will be missed dearly by all those who knew her.
The family will receive friends and family on Monday, June 27, 2011 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Colonial Funeral Home, 201 Edwards Ferry Rd, NE, Leesburg, VA. In her honor, a Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, June 28, 2011 starting at 11:00 a.m. at the Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church, 46639 Algonkian Parkway, Potomac Falls, VA.
Barbara will be interred at Arlington National Cemetery in a private ceremony at a later date.
