Barbara Herndon Elgin passed away on Monday, May 9, 2022 at her home in Meadow Glen in Leesburg, VA.  She was born on January 26, 1934 in Leesburg, VA.  After high school, she worked for the Navy Department, she owned and operated several Hallmark stores, and then she worked for the CIA.  She gardened and was a dried flower artisan throughout her life.

She is survived by her 3 children: Charlie Elgin, Debbie Wiseman, and Michele O'Meara; seven grandchildren: Jennifer Wright, Brian Elgin, Andrew and Kevin Wiseman, Brittany, Kyle, and Paige O'Meara; 5 great grandchildren: Garrett and Gavin Wright, Brian Jr., Bradley, and Braelynn Elgin; and her two younger sisters: Jean McIntosh and Mary Ellen Megeath.

Services will be held at Colonial Funeral Home, 201 Edwards Ferry Rd NE, Leesburg, VA on Monday, May 16, 2022 at 11 am.
