Barbara Muncy Moore, 86, formerly of Leesburg, Virginia, wife, wonderful mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, and friend, passed to her heavenly home on February 22, 2024, in West Chester, Ohio.  Barbara was born on December 13, 1938, in Ashland, Virginia, the 9th child of Orville and Maude Muncy.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Orville and Maude Muncy, her sisters Geneva Steadman, Betty Gregory, and Patty Kelley, and her brothers Robert, Bill, Ralph, Clifford, Edward, and David.

She is survived by her husband of 62 years, William Lee Moore, daughter and son-in-law, Traci and Jeff Allgor and her beloved grandchildren; Matt and wife Kim Allgor of Richmond, VA, Katie Allgor of Mason, OH, Chris and wife Katie Allgor of Worthington, OH, and Cody Allgor of Columbus, Ohio; and sisters Lois Simpson and Peggy Shugars of Virginia along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Barbara was a federal employee with 35 ½ years of service.  She worked at the Mt. Weather HighPoint Specialty Facility for FEMA from the day after her H.S. graduation until she retired on Jan 3, 1994.  She enjoyed singing in the choir, was an amazing artist, and loved doing arts and crafts, and being with her grandchildren.  She was a longtime member of Leesburg (Baptist) Community Church.
