Barry Michael McQueen, 69, of Leesburg, Virginia, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on December 28, 2023, after a long and courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.  Barry was born in Long Branch, New Jersey, to Clarence and Barbara McQueen.  He spent his childhood and teen years in Union Beach, New Jersey, graduating from Keyport High School in 1972.  Barry was a volunteer firefighter for Union Hose Fire Co No 1, Union Beach, N.J., and served in the United States Marine Corps.  He worked at International Flavors and Fragrances, Hazlet, New Jersey, retiring as a production supervisor.  While working full time at IFF, Barry earned his bachelor's degree from Georgian Court College.  He was a life long part time truck driver for Shop Rite.

Playing golf and spending time with his daughter were two of Barry's favorite activities.  He also enjoyed anything related to trucking, listening to Frank Sinatra, and rooting for the Michigan Wolverines.  He will be dearly missed and fondly remembered.

Barry was predeceased by his parents, and his brothers, Jefry and Scott McQueen.  He is survived by his daughter, Elizabeth McQueen of Ashburn, Virginia; a brother David McQueen, Arkansas, a sister, Diane McQueen, North Carolina, beloved cousins and several nieces and nephews.

Inurnment will be held at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
