Bernard Anthony Smith, 83 years young, of Leesburg, Virginia passed away August 9, 2019 peacefully in his sleep.  Bernie lived a long and wonderful life with his loving wife Joan, daughter Patricia and sons Michael and Derrick.  He had 9 grandchildren: Sina, Tyler, Hailey, Carter, Alyssa, Danielle, Sophia, Sarah, and Jeremy.  All were his favorites.

He was an avid skier and hockey player in his youth, a lover of history, and an accomplished business owner of an accounting software company.   He will be greatly missed by those he loved and those who loved him.

Graveside Services will be held on August 14, 2019 at 11am at Union Cemetery in Leesburg.  Father Richard Guest of St. Theresa's Catholic Church will be officiating.
