Loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend Bernice Howard has passed away. One of thirteen children, she was born on April 4, 1926 to parents Harry and Della (Griffin) Grayson. Mrs. Howard chose the profession of homemaker, always making a home for husband Lloyd and their children. While living in Leesburg she attended the First Mount Olive Baptist Church in Leesburg, Virginia. Later in life Mrs. Howard moved to St. Cloud, Florida.

Left to cherish and share her memories are her sons Robert Bridgett, James Bridgett, Vincent Bridgett and Raymond Bridgett and foster son Kevin Smith and their families. Along with her parents she was predeceased by her husband Lloyd Howard in 1983, her son Dennis Bridgett in 1958, her brother Willis Grayson and sister Virgie Russell.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, August 26, 2011 between the hours of 6:00 and 8:00 p.m.at the Mount Olive Baptist Church,216 Loudoun Street, S.W., Leesburg, Virginia 20175. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 27, 2011 at 11:00am at the church. Burial will take place in the Westview Cemetery, Upperville, Virginia. Reverend Harold Stinger will be officiating.

In lieu of flowers, Mrs. Howard's wishes were to have memorial donations sent to the Mount Olive Baptist Church, 216 Loudoun Street S.W., Leesburg, Virginia 20175.
