Cagley
May 24, 1941 – May 5, 2024
Betty Lou Cagley, 82, went to be with her Lord and Savior while surrounded by her children on Sunday, May 5, 2024, in Sterling, Virginia. Betty moved from Falls Church, Virginia to Herndon, Virginia in 2022 to be closer to her family and to enjoy her new home at the Arbor Terrace Independent Senior Living facility. Betty was born on May 24, 1941, in Silver Creek, New York. Betty retired from Exxon Mobile after 25 years of dedicated service. She was a valued member of Beta Sigma Phi serving her sisters and community for 50 plus years. She enjoyed being part of several clubs including the Exxon Mobile Spouses Club. Betty lived in several places including San Angelo, Texas and West Berlin, Germany before returning to Falls Church, Virginia where she raised her family. In 2022, Betty downsized and moved to the Arbor Terrace in Herndon. Her parents Abel and Anna Dawley and sister Virginia Brown, all of Silver Creek, New York preceded her arrival in Heaven. Left to cherish her loving memory are her daughter Rebecca Pasterak (George) of Leesburg, VA, son Tommy Cagley (Kim) of Hampton, VA, and Aaron Cagley (Angelica) of Charleston, SC. Her grandchildren Geofferson McNeese, Easton Cagley, and Savanah and Sierra Cagley along with an extensive list of nieces, nephews, and dear friends will forever hold close the many laughs and stories that Betty leaves with them. The family will receive friends on Friday, June 21, 2024, at 11am at the Colonial Funeral Home of Leesburg located at 201 Edwards Ferry Road NE, Leesburg, Virginia with a Celebration of Life service immediately following at 12pm.
