Betty Francis (Leith) Daniel went to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 7 at Inova Loudoun Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Leesburg at the age of 90.

Betty was born on March 8, 1926 just south of Leesburg. She was the daughter of Ada Elizabeth Francis and Arthur Lane Leith and brother to Arthur (Buddy) Leith formerly of Martinsburg, WV. Betty married John Orr Daniel, also of Leesburg, on March 23, 1946. They were married for 57 years before John's passing. Their marriage was blessed with three children. They lived in Leesburg their entire married life.

Betty loved to cook. She made cakes and homemade rolls weekly. Feeding and caring for her family, especially her grandchildren, was her favorite pastime. She was a member and regular attender of Bethel Presbyterian Church in Leesburg for over 30 years. Her gentle spirit and genuine compassion will be greatly missed by her family. Her abiding faith, contentment, and joy were a testimony to all who knew her.

She is survived by three children and their spouses: Jean (Tommy) Lindsey of Taylorstown, John O. Jr. (Sue) of Leesburg, and Bobby (Debbie) of Leesburg. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Family and friends are invited to Colonial Funeral Home on Thursday, May 12th. The viewing will begin at 11:00 am. The service will be at 12:00 pm. Interment will be at Union Cemetery in Leesburg following the service.
