Betty L. Saunders, 82, of Leesburg, died at her home on December 23, 2017 after a brief illness.

A native of Virginia, Betty worked as a waitress early in her life and retired as a Loudoun County Public School cafeteria worker.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Dutton Saunders. Survivors include her son, Louis D. Saunders, Jr of Davenport, Florida, his wife Vicki and grandson, Scott of Purcellville, Virginia. Also surviving are her brother, Samuel Allison, and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Family will receive friends between 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at Colonial Funeral Home, 201 Edwards Ferry Road, Leesburg, Virginia where funeral services will immediately follow starting at 1:00 pm.  Interment in Union Cemetery to follow the service.
