Obituary

Beulah Mae Miller, or Mae as she was known to family and friends, was a woman who was happy living a simple, country life. Mae was born in Maryland on May 19, 1927 to parents Edward M. and Edna (Manday) Miller. She was a homemaker who spent her days taking care of her home and those dearest to her; her husband and her children. When stepping through her door, you felt as if you were stepping back in time "to the good ole days" of the smells of homemade bread being taken out of the oven; or a freshly baked pie sitting on the counter. Everyone was invited to dinner on Sundays. Mae loved gardening, growing the most colorful flowers. Her amazing talent of crocheting was displayed as she lovingly placed handmade doilies and afghans throughout her home. Mae could easily be pleased with a good cup of black coffee. She found companionship in animals she had through the years, including her chickens, dogs, cats and birds. She found solitude sitting on a fishing bank with pole in hand.

Mae will be dearly missed by those she leaves behind; her sons Charles C. Fauble of Winchester, VA, Edward M. Miller of Leesburg, VA, Ronnie L. Miller of Stumptown, VA, two sisters, six grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She was sadly predeceased by her husband Charles O. Miller and son Lee O. Miller. Family and friends are invited to visit and share their memories at Colonial Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 13, 2010 between the hours of 5:00 and 7:00 p.m. Interment will be private.
