Bobbie P. Dorvitt died at home November 19th after an illness. She was 78. Bobbie Jean Poteet was born in Morrilton, Arkansas. She married Robert L. Dorvitt and had two children before moving to Leesburg in 1962. She began working at First and Merchants Bank as a teller and moved up to assistant branch manager as the bank became Nations Bank, Sovran and finally Bank of America. She retired after 30 years and traveled the country extensively with her husband. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Dorvitt, Sr. and her son, Robert L. Dorvitt, Jr. She is survived by her daughter, Peggy Dorvitt; her sister, Bonnie Coffman, of Morrilton, Arkansas; Bonnie's husband Bob, her three children Ray, Martha and Donna; and many extended family members. No memorial service is planned.
