Bonnie Joy Bleakley passed away peacefully on August 20, 2021 at her home in Aldie, VA with her husband by her side.  Bonnie was born on November 26, 1942 in Abileen, TX to Herbert W. Jeffcoat and Alice Joy Marsh.  Bonnie and Neil Bleakley were married in Newport News, VA on September 7, 1963.

Bonnie graduated from Warwick High School in Newport News, VA in 1961.  She attended University of Virginia Nursing School in 1961-62 where she met her spouse, Neil Bleakley. As a proud military wife for part of her marriage, Bonnie lived in Turkey, traveled to Greece, Italy, England and Switzerland. She loved gardening, participated in the garden club and was an active member of the Aldie Episcopal Church for many years.

Bonnie is survived by her husband, Dr. Neil Bleakley of Aldie, VA, children Shawn Bleakley (Lilianna) of Germantown, MD, Jamie Bleakley (Heidi) of Springfield, VA, Seth Bleakley (Sherry) of Celebration, FL.  She had five grandchildren, Megan Bleakley, Michael Bleakley, Sophia Bleakley, Samantha Moore and Mason Moore, and a sister Janet Jeffcoat of New Jersey.

A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, August 28, 2021 at Colonial Funeral Home of Leesburg, 201 Edwards Ferry Road NE, Leesburg, VA.  Visitation will be held at 10:00 AM and Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM.  Interment will be held following the service at Union Cemetery, 323 N. King Street, Leesburg, VA.
