Brent Jason Lancaster, 45, of Manassas VA, went to be with the lord on January 19, 2024.

Brent was born on August 23, 1978, to the late Donna Lee Murphy in Detroit Michigan. Brent graduated from Hayfield High School in 1997 where he was VA State Champion at 189 pounds, Junior Olympic Freestyle and Greco Roman Wrestling, and an AAU All-American wrestler. He went on to study Economics at George Mason University with a master's degree from Florida Institute of Technology. While attending GMU on an athletic scholarship he was a two-time conference champion and a two-time NCAA qualifier.

After graduating with a degree in Economics, Brent enlisted in the United States Army after completing boot camp, he then went to Fort Bening Georgia.  Upon completion of his service in the Army, he started his first job with the Marines Corps, kickstarting an almost 16-year career for the military in Quantico, VA.

In 2000, Brent met Melanie David in Washington, DC. Brent and Melanie went on to have three children, Madelyn Brooke Crowe-Lancaster (Maddie), Olivia Cameron Crowe-Lancaster (Liv), and Jaxson Hill Lancaster (Jax).

Brent lived for his children, especially his son Jax whom he would often take on trips to Myrtle Beach to visit his grandmother Anna. Brent will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Brent was predeceased by his mother, Donna Lee Murphy, and grandfather Robert Dean Murphy. He is survived by his former wife Melanie Rae Lancaster and their three children Jaxson Hill Lancaster, Olivia Cameron Crowe-Lancaster, Madelyn Brooke Crowe-Lancaster, grandmother Anna Mae Murphy, Cousin Mr. and Mrs. Travis Bush, and their daughters and Roy Hill III, his beloved mentor and coach.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, February 4th, 2024 at Hayfield Highschool 7630 Telegraph Road, Alexandria, VA 22315 from 1 pm – 3 pm for family and friends.

Military services will take place at 1230 on Monday, February 5th, 2024 in Quantico, Virginia.  18424 Joplin Road, Triangle, VA 22172.  To enter the cemetery, you will see an American Flag past the flag make the first right 3 lanes Admin building park where the lanes end.
