Carol L. Massaro, 78, of Alexandria, Virginia, passed away peacefully at  Mt. Vernon Hospital on the morning of March 8, 2023.  Carol was born January 26, 1945, in Washington, DC, and grew up in Arlington, VA; graduating from Washington-Lee High School.

Carol worked hard at her many jobs including: administrative assistant, bus driver, sales rep., rental property manager and for many years, in hospital and medical office admitting. She was resourceful, funny, and kind. Carol loved her independence and enjoyed going for long walks to do her shopping, where en route, she would feed her neighborhood squirrels. She was a wonderful cook and made many meals throughout the years for family and many friends at the Mt. Vernon House where she lived for 20 years.  She cherished all animals, especially her beloved cat, Meghan. Carol was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

She is proceeded in death by her mother, Pauline Massaro, and an uncle, William Latham.

She is survived by her son, Kevin Bulman of Alexandria, her daughter Christine Daly, (Christopher) of Triangle, her grandchildren, Kyle Daly (Josephine) of Stafford, Evan Daly (Jasmin) of Strasburg, her great grandchildren, Charles and Adeline, her aunt, Patricia Melany of Fairfax, her uncle, Donald Latham of Alabama, and several cousins.

Family will receive friends on March 15, 2023 from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm at Colonial Funeral Home of Leesburg, 201 Edwards Ferry Rd., NE., Leesburg, VA 20176 where a service will begin at 1:00 pm. Interment will follow at National Memorial Park, 7482 Lee Highway, Falls Church, VA  22042 at 3:00pm.

Flowers will be accepted or contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or a charity of your choice in memory of Carol.
