It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Carol
Margaret Pattie, aged 76, who departed this life on October 11, 2025,
in Leesburg, VA. She passed away in her home surrounded by family.

Carol was born on September 6, 1949, to Leon and Laurette Bilodeau.
She grew up in Manchester, NH, and graduated from Keene State College.
She went on to pursue a teaching career before moving to Virginia and
beginning a 35-year career in the federal government. Carol was known
for her love of family, friendly spirit, and generosity.  She enjoyed
spending time with friends and family, going shopping, scrapbooking,
and playing cards.

She is survived by her sons, Derek Stromgren of Prescott, AZ, and
Keith Stromgren of Herndon, VA; her daughter, Heather Hammontree and
Susan, of Leesburg, VA; her brother, Richard Bilodeau and Tina, of
Manassas, VA; six nieces and nephews; and ten great-nieces and
great-nephews. In addition to her parents, Carol is preceded in death
by her sister, Suzanne Goulet.

A memorial service will be held on October 25, 2025, at Colonial
Funeral Home of Leesburg. Visitation from 10am-11am, followed by the
service from 11am-12pm. All who knew and loved Carol are welcome to
attend and celebrate her life.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to
the American Diabetes Association in memory of Carol Pattie.
