Carole Ann French June 30, 1942- January 22, 2019

Carole passed away peacefully in Winchester, Va.  She was born in Youngstown, Ohio and raised in Struthers, Ohio.  Upon graduation from high school she moved to Washington, DC to complete her nursing degree from George Washington Hospital.  She met and fell in love with her to be husband of 42 1/2 years in DC.  They later moved to New York State and  then to Falls Church VA.  Carole settled in Leesburg, Va and became a home health nurse for 10 years.  Her favorite nursing position.  She loved reading, cooking, gardening, and hiking and camping with her family.

Carole was preceded in death by her parents Michael Francis Maloney and Marie Gladys Maloney, her husband Robert Alden French, her sister Kathleen Lee Maloney.

She is survived by her sisters Patricia Marie Riddick and Frances Michelle Maloney, her daughters Christine Marie French, Meredith Lee French, Suzanne Michelle French, her grandchildren Ashton Oakley French Warren, Anna Marie Holleman, Sarah Grace French, and Kathryn Marie French Berard.  She will be greatly missed. Services are Friday February 1st at Colonial Funeral Home of Leesburg, 201 Edwards Ferry Rd, NE, Leesburg, VA.  A visitation will be at 11 am the Service will be at 12:00 pm.  Interment will follow at Union Cemetery.
