Obituary

Carolyn Crosen Quesenberry, age 56, died peacefully at home on Friday, August 8, 2014, surrounded by her loving family after a short battle with cancer. A lifelong Loudoun resident, Carolyn was born in Leesburg, Virginia on October 19, 1957 to James and Shirley Crosen of Hamilton, Virginia. She spent the first few years of her life in Sterling, and then moved to Leesburg until 1964, when she moved to Hamilton. In 1977, she graduated from Loudoun Valley High School, and later settled in Leesburg with her husband. There, she spent the remainder of her years. Carolyn is survived by her parents, mentioned above; her loving husband of 34 years: Kevin Quesenberry; In-Laws: Junior and Louise Quesenberry of Lucketts, VA; her four children: Scott Quesenberry and fiancée Aimee Mastria of Berryville, VA; Zack and Kim Quesenberry of Winchester, VA; Jennifer Quesenberry and Zach Aufdenberg of Hamilton, VA, and Jeffrey Quesenberry of Leesburg, VA; and her very special grandchildren: Alexis Timbers, Wyatt Quesenberry, and Kyle Aufdenberg. She is also survived by her sisters: Susan Reimann of Sarasota, FL; Cathy Kennan of Leesburg, VA; and Sarah Wiley of Winchester, VA; nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Carolyn enjoyed spending her free time riding on the back of her Harley Davidson, vacationing at Ocean Isle Beach, cheering for the Virginia Tech Hokies, and rescuing German Shepherds. She was a lifetime member of Harmony United Methodist Church and was active in the Purcellville American Legion, Blue Ridge Eagles, and Leesburg Moose Lodge.

The family will receive friends on Monday, August 11, 2014 from 6:00pm-8:00pm at Colonial Funeral Home of Leesburg, 201 Edwards Ferry Road, Leesburg, VA, where services will be held on Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at 11:00am with Rev. Waverly Reames officiating and special music by Mike Wampler. Interment will immediately follow at Union Cemetery in Leesburg, VA.
