Charlene J. Bevan of Lovettsville, was called to heaven October 27, 2016 peacefully in the presence of her loving and devoted family. She was born May 27 in East McKeesport, Pennsylvania to the late Charles and Mary Dripps. Charlene was preceded in death by her brother, Bob Dripps.
Charlene is survived by her husband of 61 years, Wayne C. Bevan, where she was a homemaker and mother of five children (their spouse): Sheila Lynn (Tony), Rick Bevan (Gwen), Debra Bevan Jenkins, Garry Bevan (Elizabeth) and Sandy Coffey (Mark). She is also survived by eight grandchildren; TJ, Denise, Shannon, Paul, Shaun, Nathan, Truman and Matthew; four great-grandchildren; Georgia, Jack, Caden and Xander and many beloved nephews and nieces.
Charlene's love, heart and soul was with her husband and her family where she enjoyed participating in all their many activities. She was a Nascar, Basketball and a Washington Redskins fan. She welcomed any opportunity to tour and experience the best of America from coast to coast with her family and friends. Charlene was an avid crafter and was a member of the Loudoun Craft Club. She was a long time participant with the Beaux and Belles square dance organization as well as a volunteer at the Lovettsville voting precinct. Charlene is also a charter member of the Leesburg Moose Lodge.
Family and friends are invited to gather on November 5, 2016 at 11:00 am for visitation and service beginning at 12:00 pm at the Colonial Funeral Home in Leesburg. Condolences and memories may be expressed online at www.colonialfuneralhome.com
