Charles Everett Elgin ("Pud") passed away on Tuesday, July 30, 2013 in the VA Medical Center in Washington, D.C. after a battle with cancer. He was born on August 5, 1931 in Leesburg, VA.
After high school, he joined the Air Force, then he attended East Carolina University. He lived in Waterford, VA.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Herndon Elgin, 3 children: Charlie Elgin, Debbie Wiseman, and Michele Redner; seven grandchildren: Jennifer Wright, Brian Elgin, Andrew and Kevin Wiseman, Brittany, Kyle, and Paige O'Meara; 3 great grandchildren: Garrett and Gavin Wright, and Brian Elgin Jr.; and 5 brothers and sisters.

Services will be held at Colonial Funeral Home, 201 Edwards Ferry Rd NE, Leesburg, VA on Thursday, August 15, 2013. The family will receive friends between 10:00 am and 11:00 am where a memorial service will immediately follow starting at 11:00 am.
