Charlotte Loraine (David) Okome passed away peacefully on the 13 Aug 2012 at home with her loving husband Desmond, daughter Celine and Sister Mary at her bedside, at 21777 Cypress Valley Terrance Sterling VA. Charlotte was born on the 7 April 1954 and raised in Upper Hammonds Plains, Nova Scotia, Canada. She worked at the Ship Repair Unit at CFB Halifax Nova Scotia for many years before moving to the USA. Charlotte was a loving wife, mother to Cline and her family and friends. She enjoyed singing, music and cooking, she was a mother to her younger brothers after her mother passed away at an early age. Thanks Charlotte for being there. She is survived by her loving husband Desmond and their beautiful and loving daughter Celine. Survived by sisters Diane McDonald, Mary David Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, Brothers Clinton (Karen), Charles (Lillian) Halifax, Nova Scotia, Marty (LaVerne)Upper Hammonds Plains, Nova Scotia, Tony (Deborah) Blair (Penelope) Lucasville, Nova Scotia, Brian (Beverly) Lakeside Nova Scotia, Clyde, Ross (Cathy), Jeremiah (Leslie), Perry, Dartmouth Nova Scotia, Royce (Penny) Bedford Nova Scotia, Many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by parents Raymond and Corene (Symonds) David, Sisters Shirley Johnson and Juanita – David Marchand. Charlotte will be missed by her family and friends.
Family will receive friends at the Colonial Funeral Home, 201 Edwards Ferry Rd NE, Leesburg, Virginia 20176 on August 23, 2012 between the hours of 12:00 pm and 1:00 pm where a service will immediately follow starting at 1:00 pm.
