November 11, 1943 - June 24, 2019

Cheryl Lee (Krueger) Hein, age 75, of Leesburg, VA , passed away unexpectedly Monday, June 24, 2019 at Reston Hospital Center with her daughter, Lisa and son in law, Chris holding her hand as she took her final breath.

Cheryl was born on November 11, 1943 in Marinette, Wisconsin to the late Alfred Krueger and Rachel (Fry) Krueger. She graduated in 1962 from Wausau High School in Wausau, WI. She married William Hein on July 4, 1967. Cheryl raised her family in Sterling Park, VA where she worked for Loudoun County public schools as a school bus driver. After leaving LCPS, she worked in management positions at various Shoppers Food Warehouse stores throughout Northern Virginia, where she retired in 2010 after 30 years with them.

Cheryl loved baking, gardening, country music, and especially sports. She would spend her time watching NASCAR, Green Bay Packers, Washington Nationals, and Washington Capitals games. She was very family oriented and loved spending time with her family. Her 3 grandchildren were her pride and joy.

She is survived by her daughter Lisa Hein Sanchez, son-in law Christopher Sanchez, twin granddaughters Kayla and Krista Sanchez, grandson Michael Crisafi and sister-in-law, Caroline Krueger. She is preceded in death by her son Damon Hein (2017), husband William Hein (2011), mother Rachel DeStefanis (1998), stepfather Albert DeStefanis (1996), father Alfred Krueger (1994)., and her brother Alfred Krueger Jr.(2007)

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, July 2 at 1:00pm at Colonial Funeral Home, 201 Edwards Ferry Road, NE, Leesburg, VA.
