Obituary – Chester John Slevinski
May 18, 1934 – April 10, 2023

Chester John Slevinski passed away on April 10, 2023 after a short illness. Born on May 18, 1934, Chester was the only child of Chester Stanley and Sophia (Kukulka) Slevinski.

Chester is survived by his wife Georgina of Leesburg, VA and his daughters Susan Greene of Crystal Lake, IL, Karen Springfield of Frederick, MD and Anne (Sean) Egan of Herndon, VA. His grandchildren, Adam (Rachel) Greene, Nora (Mike) Hastings, Catie (Alex) Earl, Shawn
(Nicole) Springfield, Brian Springfield and Ryan Grist. Seven Great-Grandchildren, Emma Greene, Cara Brooke and Bridgett Hastings, Liam Springfield, Hannah Duarte and Chester and Ellie Springfield. He is predeceased by his granddaughter Rebecca Grist Hannon and
his great granddaughter Abigail Greene.

On October 22, 1955, he married the love of his life Georgina O'Neil of Kinsale, Ireland in Olean, NY. Georgina then joined him in Germany where Chester served his country as a Korean War veteran in the US Army in Stuttgart and Boblingen West Germany.

Upon their return to the US, Chester attended and graduated in 1961 from the University of Buffalo with a degree in Accounting.

Chester began working for the National Credit Union Administration upon his graduation from the University of Buffalo, staying with NCUA his entire career and retired in 1995.

"Thank you Dad, for the guidance you have always given us, your humor, your gentle strength. We could always rely on you and the way you have loved all of us through everything." He had a true heart that is our guiding light and touchstone.
