Christena R. Martin Fulcher, 91, of Leesburg, VA born on December 25, 1924, departed this life September 26, 2016. She was the daughter of the late William Henry Martyn and the late Rosie Nell Kidwell Martyn.

She was the last survivor of 12 children who were born in Sterling, VA at home.

Widow of Joseph M. Fulcher; mother of Barbara Williams of California and Carolyn M. Lineberry of Leesburg, VA. Survived also by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.

Christena and her husband were charter members of Floris Presbyterian Church, now Trinity Presbyterian Church.

"Mama" as she was known by so many was a lady who never asked for anything for herself, she cared about others first. She was a firm lady and volunteered in many ways.

One of her many accomplishments was getting Bears School road sign changed to Carters School it was the 1 room school she attended all her 7 grades of school. The sign was beautiful it took her over 24 years to get this accomplished. Mama talked a lot about history and in later years she even road a camel.
Mama will be missed by many.

A time of visitation is scheduled for Monday, October 3, 2016 between 6:00 pm and 8:00 pm at the Colonial Funeral Home, 201 Edwards Ferry Road NE, Leesburg, Virginia 20176. Funeral services will start at 10:30 am on Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at Colonial Funeral Home. Family and friends are invited to gather one hour before the service. Interment will follow the service at 1:00 pm in Quantico National Cemetery.
