On September 29, 2012 Claude Harvey departed peacefully. He was the beloved son of Virginia and George Harvey. Claude is survived by Sharon, his wife of 53 years, his daughters Debbie Carlson (Dave), and Kim Woods (Ron) and his son Mike Harvey (Melissa). There are 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren . He has one sister, Donna Steele.

His family moved to DC in 1941. Claude spent 3 years in the Army. He graduated from U. of MD. School of Medicine. After 3 years in General Practice he joined the Navy and spent 25 years in Hyperbaric and Submarine Medical Research. He received the Legion of Merit upon his retirement.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 5, 2012 starting at 11:00 a.m. at Ashby Ponds Community Center, 21170 Ashby Ponds Blvd, Ashburn, VA 20147.
