August 20, 1955 – February 11, 2020
Clifton E. Reid of Leesburg, Virginia departed this life on February 11. 2020 at his
home after a long illness. He was born on August 20, 1955 to the late Elva C. and John A.
Reid Jr.
Clifton graduated from the Loudoun County High School.
He was a culinary specialist at the Xerox Conference Center in Leesburg VA. for 19
years. He was later employed at the Food Lion on King Street in Leesburg for over 22 years
where he became an extremely popular fixture in the Deli operations section.
Clifton or Tetley as he liked to be called was a tremendously caring and giving
individual. He not only reached out and provided advice, he shared his resources and even his
home. Only God and the people Tetley helped really know just how many were helped by this
loving young man.
Tetley was proceeded in death by his parents and three sisters, Mary Fauntleroy of
Lancaster Virginia, Helen Reid of Baltimore MD & Barbara Reid of Leesburg, Virginia. He
leaves to cherish his memory two devoted sisters, Ella Brooks of Woodbridge Virginia &
Bertha Reid of Leesburg, Virginia. He also leaves a very large number of loving relatives and
friends.
During the final days of his life, Tetley committed himself to Jesus. His total focus was
on strengthening that eternal relationship. Praise God, He is now in Glory with his Savior
Family will receive friends on Saturday, February 22, 2020 from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm at First Mt. Olive 216 Loudoun St SW, Leesburg, VA 20175. A service will begin at 1:00 pm.
