Crystal Melton Richard of Ashburn, Virginia, passed away peacefully on March 21st 2024. She was born to
James and Joanne Melton in Birmingham, Alabama on October 3rd 1972.

Crystal was raised outside Birmingham, Alabama in the small town of Childersburg. She studied various
forms of dance, took modeling lessons and was an accomplished majorette. She graduated as
valedictorian of Childersburg High School in 1991. She then attended the University of Alabama where
she graduated in 1995 as summa cum laude with a degree in Finance.

She had a successful career as a financial analyst for multiple companies in Alabama, Florida and most
recently in Virginia with Verite Group, INC.

Crystal moved to Florida in the early 2000s and in 2012 met the love of her life, Trey Richard; they
married in 2015. Soon after marriage, Crystal and Trey welcomed a son, Levi James, into the world. She
fell in love with being a mom and she was phenomenal at it. One of her favorite things to do was to
cheer Levi on at his soccer games. Crystal was also very active in Levi's school volunteering in the
classroom as well as serving as treasurer in the PTO.

Crystal had a strong love for her family and cherished her time with them, that was never more evident
than over the holidays. She loved to display her love of family through decoration, especially during
Christmas, decorating an amazing 13 trees! She also valued hard work and believed in taking care of
what she worked so hard for, that showed with her love and meticulous care for her Toyota Sequoia,
known as "fat man!". She was a strong and courageous person who always fought hard for what she
believed in and fought hard until the end.

Crystal, affectionately known by her parents as "Tigger" is survived by her husband Trey, son Levi, her
parents James and Joanne, and her brother JD.

Crystal received the greatest care imageable at Capital Caring Hospice, in lieu of flowers, the family
requests donations be made to the Capital Caring Hospice, Adler Center so they can continue their great
