Currell, a native of Loudoun County, was born on a farm near Lincoln, VA. The family later moved to Hamilton, VA where they lived until Currell married and relocated to Leesburg. He made Loudoun County his home his entire life.
Currell is preceded in death by his wife Doris McDevitt Tiffany and parents Garland Tiffany and Mary Hatcher Tiffany. He was the youngest of 6 children who also preceded him in death. Brothers: Garland "Bus" and Hugh Tiffany, Sisters: Anna Dunlap, Elizabeth Smith and Hazel Ball. Nephews: Donald, Bill and Steve Tiffany, Edward Dunlap and Niece: Trudi Schwarting.
Surviving his death is Son: Syd Tiffany (Karen), Daughter: Sandra Tiffany Rose (Paul)
5 Grandchildren: Heather Tiffany Cuozzo (Nick), Eric Tiffany (Tiffany), Paul Rose III, Lauren Rose Stephenson (Trey), Katelyn Rose and one step grandson, Charles Warren (Emily).
Also surviving his death are 2 Nieces: Ann Dunlap Blackman and Sharon Ball Garnett.
Currell was drafted into the US Army during the Korean War obtaining the rank of Seargent and discharged honorably after 2 years of service.
Currell worked for C&P Telephone Company as a cable splicer and retired after 34 years of service. He then worked at West Park Golf & Country club and retired when the course closed after more than 30 years there.
Currell started his Community Service as a young man with the JC's and then joined the Leesburg Lion's Club where he remained active until the time of his death.
Currell was also a life member of Loudoun County Fire Department where he started volunteering with the Hamilton VFD at age 21 and later joined the Leesburg VFD. He responded to countless calls and after 30 years of fighting fires, he stopped running on calls. He remained active with the fire department until his death with 75 years of service.
He was an active member of the Leesburg Baptist Community Church where he served as a Deacon.
Currell's hobbies included watching and playing golf every chance he could. He also loved to fish and take his family camping throughout the years. He was an avid Washington Nationals fan and an ever-faithful Redskins fan. Currell also loved fellowship with his friends including Friday morning. breakfast with his buddies.
