Daniel F. Patrick a lifelong resident of Sterling, Virginia died unexpectedly on Friday, April 8, 2016 at INOVA Loudoun Hospital Landsdowne. He was the beloved husband of Kelly (Litchfield) Patrick.
Born in the Washington, D.C. on December 14, 1969. He was a son of the late, Robert H. Patrick and Nancy (Placer) Patrick who survives him.
He was a 1988 graduate of Park View High School. In his senior year in high school he joined the Army National Guard. He graduated from Northern Virginia Community College. He was employed as a Bus Driver for the Loudoun County Public Schools for the past 13 years. A job he enjoyed and took great pride in. Dan enjoyed the children and would keep a protective eye on all of his charges. Dan was always looking out for his family and friends. He had a very loving and selfless heart. His three cats Buddy, Holly, and Chloe brought a lot of joy to his life. He was always sharing stories about their antics. He had a hearty laugh and wonderful sense of humor, which endeared him to all who knew him. He and his wife, Kelly enjoyed traveling, movies, family, and friends.
In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by his brothers, Robert H. Patrick Jr. (Melanie) and Steven M. Patrick (Martina), nephews Eli and Noah Patrick, as well as many Aunts, Uncles and cousins. His father-in-law and mother-in-law Dennis and Bernadette Litchfield. Brother-in-law Dennis Litchfield II, Sister-in-law Carrie Salter (Joe) and nephews Kevin, Alex, Matthew, and niece Diane Salter.

Family will receive friends between 6:00 pm and 8:00 pm on Friday, April 15, 2016 at Colonial Funeral Home, 201 Edwards Ferry Road NE, Leesburg, VA 20176 and again on Saturday, April 16, 2016 from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm with services immediately following starting at 12:00 pm. Burial will follow the service in Sterling Cemetery.
