Daniel Lee Spurlock, who was known to his family and friends as "Danny", passed away on Tuesday, September 30, 2014. Born May 29, 1959 in Leesburg, Virginia, he was the son of Lawrence and Dorothy (Shaffer) Spurlock.

A painter by trade, his days were kept busy fulfilling the needs of those who recognized his talent. Danny loved the game of basketball. He found pleasure in fishing on the riverbank of the Shenandoah River.

Danny will be remembered fondly by those who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his brothers Larry Spurlock of Chesterfield, Virginia and James Muth, Jr. of Harpers Ferry, West Virginia; sisters Charlotte Albert of Winchester, Virginia; Tammy Martin of Front Royal, Virginia; Brenda Munday of Jefferson, Maryland and Valerie Spurlock of Laurel, Delaware; along with a host of other family and friends. Along with his parents, Danny was predeceased by his sister Linda.

Family and friends are invited to the Colonial Funeral Home, 201 Edwards Ferry Rd NE, Leesburg, VA 20176 on Thursday, October 9, 2014 between the hours of 6:00 pm and 8:00 pm where a service will take place at 7:00 pm.
