Darlene Ellen Neff, 74, of Warrenton went home to be with Jesus, her Lord and Savior, on December 14, 2017. She was born on May 26, 1943 to Clarence Sutphin and Kathleen Miller Sutphin. She grew up in the beautiful countryside in Loudoun County on Oatlands Plantation. It was at the Little Oatlands School she met the love of her life, Clarence "Buddy", when they were just children. While raising her children, Darlene worked very hard to support her family in various occupations. Most memorable, as a Loudoun County Public School Bus Driver for over 23 years before retiring. Hundreds of children appreciated her kind demeanor and caring nature.

Being on the lake with her husband and family was one of Darlene's favorite activities. Crocheting was another favorite hobby of hers. She crocheted baby blankets to welcome her grandchildren, great grandchildren and many other babies into this world.

Survivors include her son, David Neff of Winchester; her daughter, Teresa Purcell and son-in-law Chris Purcell of Warrenton; her son, Michael Neff and Babette Forest of Polk City, Florida; and her son, Jamie Neff and daughter-in-law Carol Neff of Lovettsville; her sister, Irene Hensley; her sister Shirley Davis, her brother Clarence Lee Sutphin.
