Dartanion (Dart) David Pleasure, 42, of Round Hill, VA passed away September 18, 2022. Dart was born to Rhonda Pleasure on July 11, 1980 in Schenectady, NY and was the eldest of three children. Dart grew up along the east coast, residing in NY, AL, FL, MD, and ultimately settled in Northern VA.

Although Dart earned his Associates degree in Accounting in the early 2000s, he performed various roles within the Washington, DC government contracting industry for over 20 years. During that time, he formed long-lasting connections with colleagues who became some of his best friends. The last 7 years, he served as a Senior Support Analyst at Accenture Federal Services.

Dart and his partner at the time, Jennefer Murphy welcomed a daughter, Nyla Pleasure in 2003. He met his wife, Melody Minton in 2010 at their mutual place of work, QinetiQ North America. Dart and Melody married on November 7, 2014 and welcomed a son, Bronx Pleasure in 2015.

Dart was a sports fanatic, music enthusiast, and food connoisseur. In his younger years he played many sports including Basketball, Football, Baseball, and more. As a young adult, Dart and his closest friends volunteered as youth basketball coaches. Later in life, Dart refereed youth basketball, played on an adult basketball league, and coached his son's basketball team. Dart also enjoyed riding his motorcycle, proudly mowing his lawn (with a push mower), and sharing libations with family, friends, and neighbors. Traveling was a newfound interest, his favorite trip was an annual "boys trip" with his step-father's family to Vieques, Puerto Rico. Most recently, he could be found hiking in the mountains of Utah with his wife and son.

Dart leaves behind, his wife (Melody), his two children (Nyla, Bronx), his mother (Rhonda), his siblings (Diamanté, Warren), his step-father (Wil), and his dog (Hero).

Dart's celebration of life will be held Tuesday, 9/27 at Colonial Funeral Home in Leesburg, VA. Gathering begins at 12pm, service at 1pm. All are welcome to attend.
