Obituary

David Inderjeet was born on March 28, 1937 in Kanpur, India and was the younger of two boys born to Lwellyn Valentine Singh, a District Magistrate and Bessie Gita Osborne, an Obstetrician.
In his childhood, David traveled extensively throughout India with his brother, William, and mother, during her many medical assignments as a government physician. He developed a command of several languages including English, Hindi/Urdu, Punjabi, Arabic, Tamil and Malayalam, which served him well throughout his life.
David followed in his mother's footsteps and chose a career in medicine, training at Christian Medical College in Ludhiana, India where he met his first wife, Lily, with whom he had three children, Daphne, Sylvia and Les. After a few years of practice in India, the family moved to Oman in 1971, where David was a highly respected Ophthalmologist and received a commendation by the Sultan of Oman.
David and Lily were used mightily by God and were instrumental in starting "The Bread of Life Fellowship", a non-denominational church that continues to flourish today. Many became Christians due to their faithfulness.
David was a classically trained musician playing multiple instruments including violin, harmonica, harmonium, accordion and keyboard. His other interests included performing music at church, traveling and leading medical mission work.
After his retirement in 2000, he relocated to the US to live with his family. He married Patricia in 2002 and together they continued his medical outreach ministry and served in Sri Lanka, Trinidad and India. He was an active member on the Board for Health Team International, a non-profit organization.
At the time of his death, David was living in Sterling, VA with Patricia and enjoyed daily interaction with his grand children. He was outgoing, jovial, and would light up any conversation he was involved in.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia, daughters Daphne and Sylvia and son, Les as well as 6 grandchildren, Alyssa, Olivia, Ethan, Lily, Victoria and Rachel.
David was loved by all who knew him and will be greatly missed.
