Debby Roe of Round Hill, Virginia passed away Friday, May 28, 2021, at the age of 70 at Virginia Hospital Center in Arlington, Virginia after a long bout with congestive heart failure.  She will be greatly missed as a, wife, mother, sister, and grandmother.  Debby is survived by her husband Dick, her beloved son, Sean (Erin) of Clover S.C., and her two grandchildren, Lincoln, and Davis.  She was stepmother to Deborah (Todd), and Grandma Deb to Quinn and Dane of Rochester New York.  She is also survived by her sister Carol of Hamburg, N.Y., and nieces and nephews from the western N.Y. area.

Debby was born in Elma, N.Y. on November 26, 1950 to Oliver and Winifred Gilbert.  She attended college at Genesee Community College and University of Buffalo and pursued a career in the banking and financial services industry until leaving to raise a family.  She enjoyed gardening, quilting, and sewing and was active in the quilting club at Countryside in Sterling, VA.

A Celebration of Life memorial service will be announced in the coming days and in lieu of flowers donations can be made in her name to the Foundation for Sarcoidosis Research which was the underlying condition of her disease. https://www.stopsarcoidosis.org/donate/
